Project Scope/Concept: In combination with its rapid expansion since the late 1990’s, Harris Beach understood that it needed to develop a simple, unified standard of design goals that would help tie its various locations together to create the familiar look and feel of a “family” of offices. The look of these offices was envisioned to create a warm, welcoming, but still professional environment for staff and clients. In addition, the design had to effectively integrate technology to keep pace with the changing needs of the firm and its clients. Key considerations included access to natural light and view for all, selection of natural materials, standardized ergonomic office furniture, effective sound and view control, flexible planning for expansion, and unified office and conference center design to assure standardized practice and delivery of legal services.
